We’ve still got some time to go before many shelter in place orders are lifted. As such, we thought it would be best to give you guys 10 different options to pass the time!

Here’s 10 of the best video games to pass that time, from horror to adventure we cover everything!

Left 4 Dead 2

Grab some friends, boot up Steam and have yourself a grand old time in this classic zombie slayer fest!

From the team at Valve that brought us games like Portal, Half Life and Alyx, this game is boatloads of fun. As you navigate the mysterious outbreak, fight increasing hordes of monsters, take on puzzles, it’s a blast.

While friends are not necessarily required for this game to be fun, it certainly makes a big difference if you have em!

The Witcher 3

With a main story that averages around 60 hours to complete and over 300 hours of side quests and collectibles, Witcher 3 is dense.

So dense but so incredibly well written. Witcher 3 has fantastic characters, a thrilling emotional story and a vibrant world full of monsters.

As you take control of Geralt, you’ll encounter murderous barons, morally grey choices and monsters of all shapes and sizes.

Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection

If you’ve ever wanted to get in on the Assassin’s Creed games, now is the best time to do it!

The Ezio Collection compiles the best of the AC games in one package. From Assassin’s Creed II to Revelations, you take control of Ezio Auditore de Firenze as he seeks to bring down the corrupt templars.

It’s a fantastic story that takes you from one end of the earth to another and sprinkles in enough conspiracy and history to intrigue you. Also, these games have some of the best music and open world design in gaming.

God of War

The 2018 reboot of God of War is by far the best entry in the franchise and one of the best games of this generation.

With a much more emotionally driven story, Kratos must defend his son from the reality of his past and the dangers of the present. As they try to fulfill Kratos’ wife’s dying wish, they make new discoveries and shocking conclusions.

While the franchise is mostly known for its combat, which is still excellent, this game was elevated by its storytelling and execution.

Dragon Age: Inquisition

Yes, Dragon Age: Origins is definitely the first game in this franchise, but honestly, you really don’t need to play it to enjoy Inquisition.

Taking place a few years after the events of the first two games, Inquisition brings back an old villain and sets much higher stakes. Reality is tearing apart at the seams, demons and monsters roam the world freely.

Where Inquisition shines is in its world building and the decisions that make meaningful impacts at the end. By the time the credits roll, you’ll be awestruck and sad at the same time. With so many characters that become your friends, you won’t want it to end.

Battlefront II

To be clear, we’re actually talking about the new EA one, not the old one by Pandemic.

EA made a lot of very costly mistakes with Battlefront II when it first launched. With pay to win issues, loot boxes everywhere and coding errors, it was a mess. Nowadays, it’s one of the best shooters on the market.

Stunning graphics, stellar sound design, amazing attention to detail and pure Star Wars fun! Battlefront II is easy to sink hours into day after day!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

I know, it’s another Call of Duty game. But, Modern Warfare is legitimately one of the best CoDs that the franchise has ever put out.

With an engrossing and intense single player campaign that pushes the boundaries of moral ambiguity. A multiplayer suite with a bevy of guns and maps, as well as free updates.

Not to mention the new Battle Royale mode Warzone that has become a hot new topic for people to try. Oh and Warzone is completely free, so there’s no excuse to not at least give it a shot!

Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Some of gaming’s most iconic and amazing first person shooters are now in one great collection by 343i.

Take on humanities struggle against the Alien race Covenant as they try to take over Earth and use the deadly Halo weapons. With great story telling, fantastic set pieces, some of gaming’s greatest music and amazing multiplayer.

Now, with some of the releases getting moved to PC, the community is growing back again. Now with Halo Reach back on the plate, it’s like living old memories again!

Ultimate Chicken Horse

Ever wanted to play Super Mario but want to have the option to completely screw over others in a 4 person race? Well, then you need to play this game.

Adorable art style hides sinister motives. You take turns placing down traps and obstacles as you and three other friends try to race to the finish line.

Equal parts platforming and party hilarity, Ultimate Chicken Horse is endless amount of laughter, fun and hijinks!

Destiny 2

After going Free to Play last year, Destiny 2 has continued to grow in community and content over the course of its lifetime.

Right now there’s a pretty omnipresent threat of doom on the Last City as Guardians try to stop the Almighty and help Rasputin.

For the free to play players, there’s tons of content to be found in the Strikes, Raid, Crucible etc. Heaps of loot to go find, tons of friends to make, in depth game lore with a deep and long running story and more! Destiny 2 is a blast!
