One Event Split Into Two

Following fan feedback and complaints, the DC FanDome event this weekend has been split into two events, with the first event, DC FanDome: Hall of Heroes, still being held this Saturday, August 22nd, and the second event, DC FanDome:Explore the Multiverse, being held on September 12th.

DC FanDome Split Into Two Events

The First Event Is Still This Weekend

The Hall of Heroes event this weekend will feature a lot of the big-name content that is scheduled to be shown off, including the two new DC games that are scheduled to be announced. The organizers of the event promise “special programming, panels and exclusive reveals from a wide variety of films, TV series, games, comics and more.”

The Hall of Heroes will be screened three times over the course of 24 hours and will be viewable only on the DC FanDome platform, an “epic world designed personally by Jim Lee.” The 24-hour period will begin at 10 A.M. PST/1 P.M. EST. You can check out the trailer for the event below:

The Second Event Will Be a Little Different

Explore the Multiverse is taking a different approach. Also over the course of 24 hours, fans will be able to create their own schedule based on available programming, watching as many panels and showcases they want during that time. The menu of programming can be viewed at the DC FanDome website.

The reason for this change in programming is because of the original scheduling, which had everything panning out over the course of 24 hours, and the conflicts that arose from various panels being held at the same time. This change will now allow fans to watch what they want, when they want, and not fear having to miss out anything.

DC released a press statement on the decision:

“We heard the fans. DC FanDome, a first-of-its kind, virtual experience for DC superfans around the world, was a lot to handle in one day! It turned out to be so massive that with so many hours of programming, not even The Flash could get through it in 24 hours!”
