Sean Connery Passes Away
Sean Connery, the actor known for first playing James Bond and many other iconic roles, has passed away at the age of 90.
A Legend Lost
The news was reported by Bond producers, EON Productions. BBC producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, had this to say about the news:
“He was and shall always be remembered as the original James Bond whose indelible entrance into cinema history began when he announced those unforgettable words — ‘The name’s Bond… James Bond.”
A Lot of Memorable Roles
Sean Connery first appeared as James Bond in Dr. No with his final role as the international spy being in 1983’s Never Say Never Again.
While he will be most remembered for portraying Bond, he was also well-known for many other roles in other notable films such as Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and The Hunt for Red October.
Sean Connery was a beloved actor, one who influenced and changed the film industry with his characters, and brought us so many memorable performances in the process.
He passed away in his sleep while in the Bahamas.
