Sir Jony Ive Leaving Apple
Sir Jonathan Paul ‘Jony Ive’ the outgoing Chief Design Officer of Apple, is leaving the company this year, to start his own design company.
CEO Tim Cook says, “Jony is a singular figure in the design world and his role in Apple’s revival cannot be overstated” referring to work done in 1998’s “groundbreaking” iMac, popular iPhone, and Apple Park corporate HQ.
Jony was born and raised in London, England, he studied design at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle and is working with Apple since 1992.
After giving 27 years to Apple, he decided to have his own design company named LoveFrom which will launch in 2020. He said that he will continue to work with Apple as his company’s primary client.
Ive has designed many Apple products like iMac, Power Mac G4 Cube, iPod, iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and parts of the user interface of Apple’s mobile operating system iOS.
