Amazon Hit with Lawsuits
Amazon has been hit with a series of lawsuits about alleged unlawful termination from their pregnant workers. As per the report provided by Business Insider and CNET several lawsuits were filed over the last four years by pregnant Amazon workers.
One of the workers based in California said that her pregnancy became a problem for the company as she had to take more frequent bathroom breaks.
It has been reported that the pregnant women were fired after telling management they were expecting a baby. Several of the cases were settled out of court.
One of the female workers said that Amazon cares more about the numbers than their employees.
Amazon in reply said that it is absolutely untrue that the company fired an employee for being pregnant. They are an equal opportunity employer.
