Amazon is working on Emotion-Detecting Wearable Device.
It’s hard to believe that a machine can understand and read Human Emotions. This is going to be true, very soon.
According to Bloomberg, Amazon is working on a wearable device that can detect Emotions.
They are working on the project with Lab126, the hardware development group at Amazon, which is also working on Amazon’s Echo smart speaker, Fire phone and the Alexa voice software team.
The device can be worn on one’s wrist and connects to your Smartphone through an app. It will also have a microphone, paired with the software that can figure out the wearer’s emotional state from the sound of his or her voice.
The device is currently being described as a project focusing on ‘Health and Wellness’. No comments have been made by Amazon on the project’s progress and also if it will ever become a commercial device.
Amazon could gain insights for potential health products if this new technology gains success.
