Adobe Tool Can Now Identify Photoshopped Images
Adobe Photoshop is an amazingly powerful tool that can create some really false yet convincing images.
But Now the company has a new tool that will help identify photos that have been edited or altered.
According to Digital Trends adobe developed a method for identifying edits made to an image using Photoshop’s Face Aware Liquify feature.
A team of researchers utilized deep learning to train artificial intelligence to recognize images of faces that had been altered or modified.
It was trained by showing pairs of images, one original and one altered so the system could learn the telltale signs of manipulation.
By the end of the training, the tool was able to identify manipulated images up to 99% of the time as compared to the 53% identification rate of humans.
