Netflix has debuted a special, new collection with UN Women today, comprised of titles selected by influential women around the world. The collection, entitled “Because She Watched”, is in honor of International Women’s Day and is full of series, documentaries, and films that celebrate women.
The content in the collection all tackle social issues, ask difficult questions, and celebrate women of all kinds from all backgrounds. Some of the most popular series and films are in it, including Alfonso Cuaron’s Roma and the recently Oscar-nominated Marriage Story, and shows such as Orange is the New Black and Sex Education. All selections were made by prominent female figures in the industry, like Salma Hayek, Lana Condor, Millie Bobby Brown, and more.
While the collection is in honor of International Women’s Day, which is celebrated across the world in March, it will be available year round. You can find it be going to Netflix.com/BecauseSheWatched, or by searching for “Because She Watched” on the website.
