Amazon Releases New Alexa Device for Kids

Amazon released a new Alexa device for Kids on the 12th of June. It introduced a new Amazon Echo Dot that features a child-friendly version of Alexa.

The new kid’s version of Alexa will use more simplified language and will be attempting to answer typical questions kids may ask.

The Echo Dot Kids Edition is available starting May 9th, and consists of the same hardware as the regular Dot, with the addition of a durable bumper case. It is colorful and simple to use.

The cost of the speaker will be $80, which additionally includes a free one-year subscription to Amazon’s FreeTime Unlimited service.

The boundless variants of FreeTime will offer a library of kid-friendly games, songs, and audio books.

FreeTime was created in 2017 and gives daily activity alerts to parents on their kids including the capacity to set-up parental blocks on certain things.

In terms of Privacy, the Echo Dot Kids Edition won’t share personally recognizable information or voice records to outsider developers.
