Co-Founder of Facebook Now Wants Facebook to be Broken Up.
In an op-ed for ‘The New York Times,’Facebook Co-Founder Chris Hughes says regulations are needed for U.S. tech companies.
Hughes, who left the company a decade ago, helped originally start it with CEO Mark Zuckerberg 15 years ago from his Havard dorm.
In the op-ed, he writes that Zuckerberg has surrounded himself with those who don’t challenge him enough.
“Mark is a good, kind person,” Hughes says, “but I’m angry that his focus on growth led him to sacrifice security and civility for clicks.”- Chris Hughes, via ‘The New York Times’
He goes on to regret not noticing the effect Facebook’s news fed could have.

Earlier this year, in his own op-ed, Zuckerberg indicated that regulations might be required.
