Coronavirus: Trump Signs $8.3 Billion Bill, 14 Dead Across the U.S.

The coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, continues to dominate the headlines and news stories, with more and more cases coming out.

Today, we have been informed the death toll in the United States has reached 14 people, with more than 225 cases confirmed across the country. This includes the recent Carnival cruise that was called back earlier this week and the first cases that have popped up in Colorado.

More than 100,000 people worldwide have been infected, according to John Hopkins University.

This news comes on the same day that President Trump has signed an $8.3 billion bill to help combat the spread of the virus. While this is certainly a step in the right direction, Trump continues to draw criticism from his frequent downplaying of the virus. While certainly something to try and not panic over, the president’s downplaying the issue undermines the true seriousness of the situation.

Health experts have continued to encourage us to take necessary precautions and practice preventative measures, such as washing your hands frequently.
