Sometimes you give it your all, you try to be different, and you remind everyone that sometimes it’s better to just do whats been done. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, as they like to say. Well, someone should tell that to Chaka Khan.
The internet has firmly ripped her a new one. The soul singer extraordinaire tried her hand at a different sort of rendition of the National Anthem today during the NBA All-Star game. The downside? Eh, well it wasn’t exactly great.
The jury’s out on who had the worse of the two renditions; Khan or Fergie. However, the issue being is that when you’re already being compared to Fergie’s National Anthem performance… You’ve inevitably done something wrong.
Nonetheless, the internet will surely let her have it. Twitter is already blowing up with memes of the moment, and we’re just glad it’s over.
