After the success and renown for his role in Death Stranding, Norman Reedus is once again in talks with Hideo Kojima for an upcoming project. Amidst rumors of a new Silent Hill coming out, and his previous role in PT, odds are we have a confirmation here!
There’s been more than a fair share of rumors, teases and stuff floating around indicating a new Silent Hill. A picture there, a cryptic comment here, there’s definitely a breadcrumb trail.
Back in 2017 there was also a demo for a new Silent Hill project from Hideo Kojima called ‘PT’. It became internet famous pretty much overnight due to how effectively creepy and scary it was. Ironically enough, it also starred, you guessed it, Norman Reedus in the main role.
Considering how well received Death Stranding was, and how mysterious Kojima has been in the past, this could be it. However, it is always a good idea to take things with a massive grain of salt, especially in gaming.
Especially considering that Hideo Kojima recently announced that he was founding Kojima Productions. This new production hub would be more focused on movies and TV programs.
Nonetheless, a new and revamped Silent Hill would definitely be a welcome change of pace for horror fans. Silent Hill games in the past have gone from absolutely amazing psychological horror, to flat out dumb.
With Resident Evil garnering huge praise for the soft reboot with Biohazard, Silent Hill could be next.
