Top American Rider In Tour De France Is Out Of The Race

The top American rider Tejay van Garderen is out of race after dropping out in the Tour de France. Tour de France is a men’s multiple stage bicycle race event organized annually in France.

Tejay’s bicycle collided on the seventh stage, after which his left thumb got fractured and caused many abrasions to his face and body.

At the start of the race on Friday, he hit a traffic island and crashed heavily, but he completed the longest stage of the Tour at 230 km.

He is out of the race now, but on Friday he was on the 33rd place which makes him highest-ranked U.S. rider.

Tejay said that he was looking down to see a piece of paper or something got stuck in his bike, he tries to get it out & as he was looking down he ran into median. He blames himself for the accident.
