Assassin's Creed Heading to the World of Vikings

Assassin’s Creed Heading to the World of Vikings

After a pretty much day-long stream to reveal its next setting, we now know that the next Assassin’s Creed will be going to the world of the Vikings.

The stream today was a time-lapse of a piece of art (designed by BossLogic) illustrating the game’s themes. It was a very long stream, but it did point out some interesting information. First off, there is the big Viking figure looming in the foreground, confirming the game’s setting and focus. Next are the Viking ships on the left side of the painting, which could mean that this game will see the return of the sailing gameplay last fully seen in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. The series had kept much of that sailing in its games, but they haven’t been as fully-realized since that game. Looks like we may see more of a focus again as the Vikings were known for their sea-faring and seaside raids.

Finally, we now know the name of the game and that we will be getting a full reveal of the game tomorrow, as announced by Ubisoft on Twitter.
