Another sporting event has been postponed due to the current coronavirus outbreak: the Indy 500 has been moved from its usual time of Memorial Day to August 23rd.
The news was announced on Twitter today after many high-profile cancellations and pushbacks from Goodwood and Formula 1.
This is the next biggest event that has been cancelled or postponed during this pandemic, after leagues like the NBA, NHL, and MLB have all postponed their seasons, and the NCAA College Basketball Tournament was cancelled.
It is surely disappointing to many fans, but we hope that the 3-month delay will be enough to let the event happen eventually.
