A Warzone Bug While Fixing a Warzone Bug

The latest update to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has fixed a recent glitch that corrupted weapon models, but due to a bug, the Xbox download is 66.3GB.

A Real Intrusive Problem

The glitch began popping up this week where it would cause a player’s weapon to become a black cube that made it incredibly difficult to see and play the game.

Warzone Xbox Players Having a Real Issue

While this is good news for most players, there is an issue that has come up with the patch’s file size on Xbox. You see, the PlayStation 4 file size is 1.2GB and the PC patch is only 0.88GB for F2P and 1.83GB for full game. Not bad at all, right? Well, for Xbox, the file size is 66.3GB. This big file size is because of an “unforeseen bug with the Microsoft patch delivery process.”

This bug is causing Xbox players to have to re-download certain files that they have already installed. However, it is important to note that this will “NOT impact the overall install size.” Infinity Ward has also promised it is working with Microsoft to make sure that future updates won’t be as big.

Way Around It

Remember, that if you are running out of hard drive space, there is a feature that will allow you to delete certain game content that you don’t want to, or will no longer, use.

The bug was bad timing since Warzone is currently teasing Call of Duty 2020 with in-game glitches and messages popping up, this time intentionally. Yesterday, the Call of Duty 2020 teaser site was updated with Cold War references and a code to unlock a secret door in Warzone. More hints and teases are set for the future to build up to the announcement of this year’s entry into the series.
