More like finally Time to Die amiright folks?
If you’re familiar with James Bond then you’re probably aware that the actor changes fairly often. Mostly due to age, or other offers, but in Craig’s case it’s mostly due to purely just having other priorities. And recently the actor made that know pretty effectively
During an interview with GQ, Craig was pretty vocally adamant as to why exactly he was leaving the mantle behind.
“This one I was like, ‘Nah, it’s not going to happen. It’s just not going to happen.’ It doesn’t mean I wasn’t as wound up and just as fucking, like, mad. Because the world outside sort of slightly ceases to exist. When you’re in it, you’re in it, and that’s the thing, I don’t know what it is, maybe having another kid, maybe just being older. But all of these things, I was just like, you know, fuck it. There are other things that are more important.”
Daniel Craig, GQ interview
Worth noting is that this is not the first time that Craig has been outspoken about his desire to move on from the iconic role. Citing numerous issues with stress, inability to work on other projects and a lack of a home life.
While Craig is inevitably coming back for more go round as the titular superspy, you’ll have to wait a bit longer to see it. Recently it was reported that MGM was delaying the release of No Time to Die by several months. Mostly due to box office and public safety concerns with Coronavirus currently running rampant.
Certainly we can all agree on one thing, we can’t wait for Craig’s last outing as Bond. We are more than willing to wait until November to see it!
