Idris Elba Not Putting Up with Cardi B’s COVID-19 Conspiracy Theory

Idris Elba, who was diagnosed with the virus a couple weeks ago, is not having any of rapper, Cardi B’s, conspiracy theories about the virus and celebrities.

Cardi B took to Instagram Live on Tuesday to vent about the current pandemic and the celebrities who have come out as testing positive for the virus. Her venting had some… less than appropriate words that she used so we will refrain from exact quotes and give you the general gist of what she said.

Basically, she said that because so many celebrities are saying they are not showing any symptoms with their diagnoses, leading the rapper to believe that they could be being paid to say they have tested positive for the virus.

Elba took to his own Instagram Live video with his wife, Sabrina Dhowre, who also tested positive a week after her husband. In the video, the actor said, “It’s stupid. It’s the quickest way to … get people sick. There’s no benefit to me and Sabrina sitting here saying we got it, and we ain’t got it.”

There have been a good amount of celebrities that have tested positive for the virus, including Tom Hanks, Kevin Durant, Marcus Smart, and more.

And here is Elba’s response:

Suffice to say, it’s a weird world we are living in right now.
