A legendary actor most known to American audiences as Masrani in Jurassic World, Irrfan Khan will be sorely missed. He made most of his fame working in notable Bollywood films, but left his mark on film in general.
The 53 year old actor developed a colon infection. After the infection spread, he was rushed to intensive care where he was being prepped for surgery. Unfortunately, Irrfan was unable to recover and passed away shortly afterwards.
Luckily, Irrfan was surrounded by his family who went with Irrfan to the hospital to support him.
It was a long battle for the actor
Khan had learned back in 2018 that he had developed a tumor, battling with cancer for the better part of the last two years. He didn’t let it affect his skill as an actor and still appeared in numerous films.
While he may mostly be known for his work in Jurassic World, it was not his only American film experience. Starring in the Oscar winning film Slumdog Millionaire, Life of Pi and The Amazing Spider-Man. Renowned for his ability to seamlessly transition into an English speaking role like he was born for it.
He leaves behind a great legacy for actors and fans everywhere to admire. Much loved by the industry and his fans will mourn his loss for years to come.
