Anton Coppola has passed away, famous conductor leaves behind legacy
Known for his works on his own sons movies for the most part, Anton Coppola conducted music for masterpieces like Apocalypse Now and The Godfather movies.
While his son inevitably received the majority of the praise for his films, Anton certainly played his part in their massive renown. The legendary conductor was 102 at the time of his passing.
While the cause of death has not been revealed to the public, he has left behind a lot to admire. His work in Tampa Bay was so profound that he was simply referred to as many by ‘Maestro’.
Some of his other movies included work like Dracula, Mozart in the Jungle, American Horror Story to name a couple.
Due to his enormous presence in the opera scene and his influential work on some of the greatest films ever, his presence will be missed.
March is certainly becoming an unkind month to legendary Entertainment figures. This news comes only a couple days after the sad passing of Max von Sydow. Sydow left behind a legacy as one of the greatest actors ever.
Our condolences and sympathies go out to his family and friends, rest in peace Anton.
