Depp's ongoing case against Amber Heard began moving forward today

Johnny Depp Accuses Amber Heard of Physical Abuse – Court Case Moves Forward

Things Are Moving Forward

Things have certainly heated up between the two actors, not that they were cold before. Johnny Depp is starting to bring out the big guns in his court case against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Worth noting, this is not the first time that Johnny Depp has accused Heard of being abusive, physically or emotionally. Simply that the court case is finally moving forward so weโ€™re going to start seeing the truth of the matter. Hopefully we will anyway.

Depp had accused Heard of throwing punches and repeatedly becoming physically violent when he had confronted her. He had wanted to speak with her on a small matter, namely that Heard had allegedly put him millions of dollars in debt. Upon hearing these allegations is when Heard allegedly started becoming violent towards Johnny Depp.

Only problem with a certain outlook on this, is that this is not the first time that Depp has had money troubles. A short while back, Johnny Depp had sued his managers for fraud and misplacing his earnings. His management team then counter-sued and nothing really ever came of it, as it was settled out of court.

That may sound like nothing, but it shows a propensity for losing his cool over money problems for Depp. That is, assuming of course, that the management team was being honest and didnโ€™t just get away with fraud. Either scenario is equally plausible when youโ€™re on the outside looking in.

Another thing that does not look good on Depp is that his lawyers tried to argue that Amber Heard should not be present in the courtroom. Saying that it would do nothing but agitate both parties, luckily the judge ruled against that statement.

His case mostly concerns his removal of a Disney contract, which he claims is Amber Heardโ€™s responsibility. After she accused him and caused an uproar on social media, he lost his Pirates of the Caribbean contract. Disney moved on without him, although he still landed a role in JK Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts.

All that being said, his defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard is ongoing. Heard herself has also lost some major film roles due to the ongoing struggles against Depp. She lost out her contract with DC and Warner Bros as Mera in the DCEU.

So both parties, regardless of your stance on them, have a vested interest in seeing this through. Outside of just public perception and legality, that is.
