Tesla Returns to Normal Operations After Long Battle

Light at the End of the Tunnel

Last two months or so, Tesla has been embroiled in a nonstop argument with California and the government. Following several complaints from the California officials, it looked like Tesla would not reopen the factory.

Especially when it’s founder and CEO Elon Musk came hard after California and restrictions. Claiming that despite several attempts at communication, Alameda County failed to respond. Which led to Tesla having to make increasingly difficult decisions in terms of reopenings.

Even after California responded, they told Tesla not to reopen the factory until they met the new safety guidelines. When Tesla did meet the guidelines they were told that they were not to reopen either way. So, after a lot of arguing, Elon Musk threatened to move the factory to a new state.

Even more arguing took place, Musk took to Twitter and went on a long rant that caused Tesla stock to drop. Almost immediately afterward, Musk sent out an email to employees that they were to return to work. This led to Tesla being warned by authorities to shut down or suffer legally.

That led to Tesla submitting an official lawsuit against the County of Alameda.

Continuing the Fight

Seems that not everything was in vain, as Tesla has formally told employees to return to the factory. Saying that regular attendance will resume, but that employees can take paid leave if they wish to do so.

Overall good news for that of the Tesla plant. Especially following the news that Tesla Shanghai shut down and production ground to a halt. After a long and grueling battle, Tesla could still well decide to move the plant.

What do you make of Tesla’s decision to move forward and resume normal operations? As more of the world tries to start reopening, especially in the US, it was only a matter of time. Hopefully, this sees Tesla and production assisting in reopening the economy.
