Celebrity News – Giving back to the world in a time of need!

Not all celebrities are spending time in quarantine pointing fingers and promoting upcoming movies. Some of them are going out and assisting others in selfless acts of charity and assistance.

Madonna

Material Girl and her other company REFORM worked together to send out 100,000 masks to prisons. Hoping to try and help curb the coronavirus spread from inside the jails.

Concerns were raised early on in the month that jails could be hit particularly hard and be a catalyst for spreading the virus.

Corey Taylor

One of the musicians behind the huge metal sensation Slipknot, Corey Taylor is auctioning off some guitars. The charity auction funds will go to Direct Relief, and the auction is being held through eBay who will match each dollar.

2 Chainz

Famous for some of the early 2000s biggest hits, 2 Chainz delayed the opening of his new restaurant.

Instead of promoting and opening the restaurant in limited capacity, the rapper took to the streets to feed the homeless. Helping assist those who cannot afford anything.

Every single day I am in awe of the medical workers on the frontlines. Their determination, selflessness and empathy is the single greatest example of our capacity to love and survive as humans. I am beyond privileged to be self isolating in my home, without the fear and obligation of essential work employment. Without a sick family member to care for. A child to feed. A financial crisis to navigate. So I tried to find a real way to make a difference. I have acquired and purchased 100,000 FDA certified 3 ply masks (with the help of Orange International Inc who sourced the masks for me from a factory in Guangzhou, China) These masks will be distributed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Providence Saint Joseph, LAC+USC Medical Center, and Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital; for the medical professionals and non medical hospital staff who are working to put a stop to this pandemic and help millions of strangers they will never meet. Please continue to stay home, if you can. If you are on the frontlines, my heart is with you. And I will be continuing the fight to help you get the support and resources you need. 🤍🤍🤍 I am eager to redirect you to @givedirectly – A non-profit that allows you a way to give direct cash payments to vulnerable households in at risk communities, most of whom are single mothers. I will be making a sizeable donation, and encourage you to help in any way that you can. Special thanks to @anthonytomasli and the Li family, @jasonaron, PS Business Management, @fedex, and all the contacts at the hospitals who made this possible.

One of the biggest hit musicians in the last 5 years, Halsey donated 100,000 masks to frontline medical teams.

Brad Paisley

Owner of a local grocery store in Nashville, aptly called ‘The Store’, and country music superstar. Brad Paisley announced that his store, which also gives out food to the needy, would be making deliveries for seniors.

Ryan Reynolds

In quite possibly the most Ryan Reynolds response in a long time, Reynolds announced that they’d be donating $1million to relief efforts.

I think we can all agree, Covid-19 is an asshole. If you’re able to help, visit, @feedingamerica and @foodbankscanada

Truthfully, COVID-19 is an a–hole Mr. Reynolds.

Lil Nas X

Making his mark on the smash hit of 2019, Old Town Road, Lil Nas X left a very encouraging Tweet.

He asked for people to leave him their Cashapp information so that he could give them money for groceries so that they could stay home.

Jon Bon Jovi

Rock legend and superstar Bon Jovi might be the best example of what to do during a pandemic.

One of the richest stars in the world working along side his employees to help out amid the COVID-19 ladies and gentlemen Jon Bon Jovi! from r/nextfuckinglevel

The legendary man himself made no social media announcements, no donation announcements. He simply went out, quietly and confidently he went to go help kitchens make food and bring it to those in need.

If you want a perfect example of someone to aspire to be, Bon Jovi is the man.
