TRUMP ENLISTS BIG PHARMA – Concerns are raised whether he should

As tensions mount over the increasing spread of COVID, Trump enlists Big Pharma to hopefully relieve some pressure.

As days pass, the number of people infected with the coronavirus has increased to over 100,000 people. Recently, the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared this virus a pandemic.

Trump enlists big pharma, the largest leader in prescription drugs

Trump has been trying to get behind the situation by hosting a meeting with some of the world biggest pharmaceutical companies. Including the likes of Gilead Sciences, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, etc.

During this meeting, Trump and his administration asked these companies to come together to discover a cure. A few months prior, Trump had ridiculed the companies for their inflated prices. Ideally this will help the companies build a better relationship with the government.

In the United States, over 1,000 people have contracted the virus and 30 have died – 15 have recovered. Also, thousands of schools and events have been cancelled or pushed to later dates due to ongoing fears.

Numbers as of right now, the United States has the high mortality rate (5%) in the world.

Working together, the Trump administration hopes these companies can develop a vaccine in the next few months.

Even though a vaccine is being developed, it will still take around a year before it goes through animal and human testing. After which the vaccine can start being administered for human consumption.
